Malaysia’s Economic Growth Rate Climbs Between 4.5 to 5.5 Per Cent in 2024
Malaysia’s economy has always proved resilient, and this year is no different. Malaysia’s GDP Growth Rate is estimated to increase by 4.5 to 5.5 per cent in 2024, an increase from its original estimate of 4 per cent. The IMF and ASEAN forecasted the prediction. The growth is predicted to be driven by resilient domestic demand and benign inflation and interest rates.
Hong Kong Opens Applications For the New Capital Investment Scheme
Hong Kong is now welcoming investors from around the globe to apply for its Capital Investment Scheme. The qualifying candidates must be willing to invest a minimum of $30 million in approved investment assets.
Candidates can bring their wives and dependent children who are not married under 18 if selected. Candidates can also stay for up to two years in Hong Kong, after which they can apply for their visa to be renewed for another three years. They can subsequently apply for another three-year extension after that. Candidates can apply for permanent residency after seven years of residing in Hong Kong.
Indonesia Introduces Visa-Free Entry Policy, Aiming to Secure An Extra $25 Billion in Revenue
Indonesia hopes to generate an extra $25 billion in revenue with a visa-free entry policy for foreigners. The Government is hoping for a major boost to its tourism sector. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is committed to this goal and plans to ensure that the visa-free entry policy encompasses visitors from 20 countries.
Indonesia’s Government is hoping that as the tourism industry flourishes, economic growth will follow.
